My daughter has often said that when she was 7 years old, sitting on Conway Twitty's lap eating Bar-B-Q at our house, is one of her favorite memories. I have a picture of that event that I will post when I find it.

In the early '90's I was working at Church St. Sta. in Orlando. We always closed a set with "God Bless the USA". My son Jamey (James) was only about 3 or 4
and if he was there he would come sit on my lap while I played steel. He knew all the words and he would sing into my mic. Once the rest of the band stopped singing and he was doing a solo. He was so into it he didn't even notice. I have a video of that but he doesn't remember it too well.
He's now 20 and will be going into the Navy on Dec. 8. He's making his ole man proud again.

There can only be one thing that leads the list for them. When Roy was inducted into the International Steel Guitar Hall of Fame. They were up on the stage with us and we were as proud of them as they were of him! Our grandchildren just like going to his "music shows". They even dance here at home when he plays. We are truly blessed. As for me, "his wife" I couldn't have been prouder! Laurie
