I had the pleasure of playing a gig with Washington DC based super picker Tom Principato last Saturday, what a fantastic player and nice guy!

Here's a couple of videos from the show:

Tango'd Up In The Blues

Sleepwalk

Here's one more, but I'm playing my Strat on this one, a rocking version of Roy Buchanan's Done Daddy Dirty

Hope you enjoy them, I sure enjoyed playing with Tom! Very Happy

Hej Steinar,

Unrehearsed or not ... that sounded mighty fine. You have great tone as usual.

Is that the Peavey Delta Blues you're playing through?

Yeah, that's the Peavey Delta Blues. I think it may be about time to replace the tubes, I noticed at the soundcheck that it has developed a slight "wzzzzzzz" in the high frequencies. The overdrive is from two Cmatmods pedals, a Signa Drive and a Brownie.

The whole gig was in fact unrehearsed, I had played along to his CDs at home plus we did a gig together a year ago (didn't rehearse then either), and since Tom doesn't follow a set list it was definitely an "ears wide open" type of gig... Cool

Steinar, great job, as usual.

What would it take for you guys to do some recording together?

What?!? You were in town, with Prinicapto? Man, I would have loved to see you play. Give me a heads up next time you're in the area -- I'll buy you a beer.

Oh, wait -- he was in your neck of the woods. OK, I feel better now.

BTW - great playing, as always.

A solid budget? Wink
We talked a bit about the possibility of doing a Norwegian/Scandinavian tour next summer with a combination of his and my material, so we'll definitely 'stay in touch'. Who knows what it might lead to...

Eh, yes, except the town was my native Arendal, Norway.. Can I still have that beer? Wink

It's in the mail! I took it out of the bottle, so the envelope would be flatter.

Besides the Cmatmods pedals, what other goodies are on your pedal board Steinar?

I especially loved your playing on "Tango'd up in the blues."

A Cmatmods Deeelay delay pedal and a really cheap Johnson tremolo pedal, that's it (plus a tuner..). Looking for a decent wah after my Fulltone Clyde started behaving funny and became totally unreliable..
