IMO if you really want a tape echo unit, then yes if it's in near-mint condition. The Sireko is an Echoplex without the sound-on-sound feature - simply an echo effect with variable time and repeats. So what you are getting is a solid-state Echoplex without the least-used feature. That would be the absolute top-end price for a Sireko, so it would have to be a REALLY nice one( preferably with an original manual and the original switch - not a replacement) at that price.
but...
They are also temperamental, noisy, and suck tone. It's getting harder to find good replacement tape, and the cartridges do need to be rewound every few years if you use it much. I have one and it's no longer working very well...it's not cheap to have one serviced. So I have both a Line 6 DL-4 Delay modeler and an H&K Replex tube echo, both of which I think actually sound better than the Sireko (or Echoplex), even one in perfect shape, due to the negative effect on tone. A Replex wold cost about the same, the DL-4 bit less...and I think, unless you're a collector, both are better buys for a player.
The Replex has a nice tube-driven sound and a good reverb (that can't be used at the same time as delay) along with one and two-head tape echo emulation. There's a "vintage factor" control that increases noise and introduces some simulated wow and flutter like a tape echo - the more you increase the vintage control, the less "serviced" your unit sounds.
The DL-4 has so many delay emulations it's mind-boggling, but their tape and analog sims are very good, and for recording the reverse-echo is a great effect. You also get vanilla digital delay and several other variations of analog and digital systems.
Hope that helps -
