We would like to thank everyone who helped make our Jam a success this year. All the players and staff were just great. Herby was out of this world. We are already making plans for 2004, and hope to make it a banner year as well. Thanks from Craig, Susie, and Chad.

Barb & I had a wonderful time at the show, as you said Herby was SMOKIN' as usual!! Back-up band did a great job! The Mead Hotel is soooo beautiful and the Food there is FABULOUS!!!!!!! Already looking forward to next year!!Say, that guy from West Union Ia. can really pick! But I thought he played a Sho-Bud? Guess I have him mixed up with somebody else! Thanks again for the invitation!

Hey Neil, did you look under his guitar? Bud pedals and mech., that guitar I believe is a Emmy Bud, just joking Lefty. Great job Barb and Neil, as with the other great players. Very nice weekend.

Craig, Sue, Chad and all of you who worked to make the jam happen....Thank You. Accomodations were great as were all of the pickers. Being fairly new to this game, it pleasures me to no end being able to see, hear and talk with all of you great Steel pickers and musicians. It was my first time meeting and hearing Herby. What a great guy. Everyone at these jams is always so helpful with one another. Something tells me Neil won't be able to convert Lefty to a Sho-Bud though. Thanks again to all involved and thanks for letting me stab at the steel. It was great fun!!! |

Craig, Susie, Chad - Thanks for the wonderful time we had playing the 2nd annual Dairy Jam. It's always inspiring to hear the super steel players and the terrific house band! Herby's performance was absolutely awesome and what a great guy! With regard to Neil's comment, all I know is that my guitar is a 'conversion' model--it graduated from a Bud to an Emmons. I have no scientific explanation for this. ...Lefty [This message was edited by Lefty Schrage on 25 March 2003 at 06:41 AM.] |

Lefty, you could play a 2x4 with barbed wire and it would sound smooth. Folks, if you can, pick up the Schrage Family album and take a listen especially Barb's fine vocals on I'm Not Lisa and Lefty's work on my personal favorite Valen's Time, a song written about Lefty and Barb's grandson who tragically passed on. A wonderful record. |

Many thanks to Craig, Sue, and Chad for their hard work. It's great that Wisconsin now has a venue for steel guitar lovers to come to. There were many styles that were played at this jam, which kept it interesting and worth listening to.
There were many highlights, and of course Herby was tremendous!
All of Harbor Lighthouse is thankful also for being part of such an event.
