I modded the amp with Burr Brown chips and tantalum audio coupling caps. I increased the values much like the N-400 mod. Much warmer tone.

This is the same width as a N-400 but shorter in height. A superb little amp. It is basically the same amp as a Special 130, just 210 watts.

$395.00 plus shipping tot he lower 48.

PayPal by e-check (5.00 max fee that way) or a money order. Will ship via FedEx only.

Try to get some pictures up tomorrow.

Ken, I know nothing about an LA-400; would it be fairly easy for you to explain the difference between the LA and the Nashville? Do you know if the LA is commonly used as a steel amp? Just very curious; any info you can give would be very much appreciated.
Dan

Guitar amp, normally. EQ is different than a Nashville EQ controls (shelving type, not active cut/boost).

I like it it for both guitar and steel. A nice alternative for both with a 12" speaker and a lot of power

I know this little amp really well. It was a great amp before Ken put the mods in it. Now with the mods, it would be a killer amp.
Somebody should jump on it !

I bought this amp form Danny to be a steel amp. However, I never play out so my old so my Fender tube amps are all I need around the house. If I do play it is for free at a small venue. I can use my 12965 Deluxe with a JBL and that is all I really need for Tele and Steel.

I have a lot of amps!

1967 Super Reverb, for sale soon

1965 Deluxe, non reverb with JBL

1955 Deluxe clone that I built

1955 Super clone that I built

1968 Harmony, with a 12" Jensen P12R(same circuit almost as a tweed Deluxe), for sale soon as I get the Jensen speaker back from South Florida Speaker Repair

Nashville 400 with mod, also for sale

Still want to build Blackface Vibrolux from a kit soon!
