I'm playing Friday and Saturday this week at the Texas Star in the Garland area. It's your neighborhood bar kind of place, with no cover charge.
We do a lot of Merle Haggard, Derailers, and Honky Tonk tunes, plus some old rock and roll and even Stevie Ray Vaughan, depending on the crowd. I even get to use my SteelRider quite a bit.
We play from 9-2 both nights, and the address is 10260 Ferguson. Take LBJ (635) to the Centerville-Ferguson exit, turn south on Ferguson to Gus Thomasson (about 4 lights) club is on S.E. corner (left hand side). Their phone number is 214-327-9944 if you need directions.
Please come up and introduce yourself if you come out, I'd like to meet you.

Hey Jim, I know exactly where the place is. It used to be a Bingo Hall or Carpet Store a while back. There used to be Wayne's Checking place across the street from it.
Keep the Honky-Tonks going. |

Tony, that sounds like the place, it's in a little strip mall. They recently bought the business next door, opened up the walls, and it's twice as big as it was.
The customers represent the crossroads of America, if you know what I mean, but we always have a great time there. |
