There WILL NOT be a regular 2nd Wednesday of the month jam for September ONLY. The 6th Anniversary jam will take it's place. We will resume the regular 2nd Wednesday of the month jams in October (October 8, 2008).

See you on the 20th.
The 20th celebration will replace this month's regular jam.

Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool

Today, Sept 11, is our 6th Anniversary date. Sept 11, 2002 was the first club jam.

The Steelers at the first jam were: Don Sulesky, John King, Walt Dotzenrod, Lou Rochelle, Blake Hawkins and Jack Stoner.

Our backup band:
Jeff “caffeine” North on drums, Dick Langevin and Frenchie Boucher on Bass, and Blake Hawkins on rhythm guitar.

Singers: Lou Rochelle, Bernie Whittle, John Thomas and Blake Hawkins.

Walt Dotzenrod moved back to Texas, everyone else is still around.

Thank You to everyone that has supported the club, in one capacity or another. Without the great support there would not be any "6th Anniversary" Jam or even a 1st Anniversary!

I WOULD PLAY MY LEFT HANDED KAZOO, BUT I LOST MY CAPO FOR IT AND ALSO MY JAWS HARP... CANT FIND
THE RIGHT STICK AND RUBBER BAND TO REPLACE THEM...CAR TIRES ARE TOO BIG AND SEMI-TIRES ARE TOO SMALL...... BY THE WAY, WILL YOU AND DON BE SEVING POSSUM SANDWICHES AT THE BREAK? I'LL TRY TO TALK EARNIE INTO BRINGING SOME SWAMP WATER COOL-AID....

Jennings, maybe I can get Catfish Johnny to serve up "gator and possum stew" Laughing

If I cut my "one song" short I should be able to play it in A, then B, then C, then D, then E, then F, then G. Wow! that makes 7 songs that I know how to play. Cool Cool Cool Cool Laughing

Ernie and other performers
The list at the top post is not the order of play.
We mentioned this at the last jam.
We will have a drawing of numbers for the order of play.
The list is in alphabetical order ONLY.We feel this is fair as no one will get a special slot in the playing order.
Jack and I have set a playing order in the past and some may or may not have liked it.
Next time we'll set a playing order in advance of the jam.
When you show up Saturday you and the others will draw for your playing spot.
If all aren't there at noon they'll be last on the list if the numbers have been picked.
I hope this clears it up for everyone slated to play.
If players want to switch their playing order number with someone that will be fine with us.
Thanks
Don

As Don noted and what I said at the last jam, we will have a drawing for who picks in what order. Usually, we start at one end or the other but we thought we would do something different this time.

Also, Bernie Whittle had to cancel due to medical issues.

I had planned on having a couple shorter breaks but I've had several inquiries about a "lunch" break at some point. If we do that we will only have one longer break.

We also have an opening since Bernie Whittle had to cancel. Contact me if you want that slot.

I made my post only to bump it to the top, I really do not care how the order is. Carol is coming down from Montgomery alabama to be with us, 400 miles,we were renting a car but we will come with her, Crysler is still in the Hospital repairing, last time this happene we missed the only time since we started coming.

Ernie, too bad about the Chrysler. That's been a good car for you, even with the engine problem.

Jack the car was running great we hit a big piece of metal in the road on the way to Jacksonville, had to rebuild the trandmission, replace the front end, grill. about $4,000.00 total. had insurance, they did not even come look at the car just told us to get it fixed. Been paying them for 4 cars for years without a claim. The transmission should have cost $3,000.00 to fix I had it done for $1.250.00, that impressed them we were doing the right thing.
