You can get a new handle from Stew-Mac, I think they call it the emergency handle, but it's thickly padded, and has metal attachments for the case. |

A local luggage shoppe..........might be able to fix you up in quick order.
Select any kind/color of handle you can imagine. |

Ray is correct. I took the case for my Permanent to Cleveland Luggage Supply. The whole job, parts and labor was $25. The handle was a perfect match for the old one. And the good thing,,, it was applied with rivets that go through the case. Much stronger, and safer than screws. |

thank you...the anchors into the case are still solid so i've got a strong strap i found that is doing the trick, but would like to fix it right eventually. if i can find a replacement that matches up the same holes, i can do it...but concerned about drilling holes next to them and weakening the top. |

Chris, a luggage place will do it right. I looked online for handles, cuz I'm a do it myself kinda guy. The handles I found cost the same as the handle and labor from the luggage shop. And you don't wanna drill more holes! The very nice, soft leather comfortable handle that was installed has an internal spring steel band that goes around the clips on the case. Very strong. |

Chris...my vote would be to go to a shoe repair place. Get one of those ol' time cranky cobblers on it and they'll do a bang up job! |

Do a search on eBay or Google for amplifier or guitar case handles; if it's just the handle that broke and not the metal parts attached to the case, there are several types of replacements that use a buckle attachment. I've used these as replacements several times (after going the shoe repair route for years) and they're stronger AND cheaper. _________________ No chops, but great tone

Sorry for the late reply. I have a SKB trap case converted to a steel case. I ordered 2 handles directly from SKB. They were a little over $5 each. I also found some listed on e-bay---- Roger |
