We at MSA would like to express the appreciation we have for the entire
TSGA organization. The show this year again perpetuated the first class
tradition of past shows. We congratulate everyone involved in its success.

It was wonderful to see so many friends, hear so many great players, and
have the privilege to be a part of the show. We also thank those of you
who came to the MSA booth and our demonstration room.

It was an honor for me to have the opportunity to play on the show and I
appreciate each and every one who was there.

God willing, we will be in attendance for many years to come.

Reece

One of the highlights of the show for me came on Sunday. I stopped buy the MSA room and Johnny Cox and Maurice were playing to tracks. I requested "The Nearness of You". They didn't have a track for it but they played it anyway, first time through with Maurice playing piano style accompaniment behind Johnny. Then Johnny played smooth "deep" chords behind Maurice. It should have been recorded!

What a bonus it was to see and hear these two marvelous players. Those MSA's made these guys sound real good..

One funny instance...they were playing to rythmn tracks. On one particular number, Maurice had just finished and it was Johnny's turn to solo. Just when he was about to attack, a piano solo appeared. Waiting for the piano to end, Johnny was poised for a second attack,...a fiddle solo appears. You had to see the look on his face in both instances....priceless.

BTW, it was the first time I had seen Joan Cox play. I was floored. A fantastic performance.

And Mr. Beavers, you certainly don't take a back seat to no one. You also turned in a great set.

This show was more than worth the trip from the Big Apple.

Howard-I sure wish I could have seen that!

That is a good song "The nearness of You". I like the full chords too when I play it around the house.

I sure wish I could have been there to hear Johnny and Reece play that.........al

Incredible!! I sat three feet away as Johnny Cox and Reese Anderson played in the MSA room Sunday! They played like they had worked together for years. These two incredible players must record together ASAP. I told Johnny that he and Reese compliment one another so well that they need to immediately record together.

Does anyone else think these two great players should do a CD?? By the way, the new MSA is the finest sounding steel in my opinion...sustain and sweet singing highs!

Reece,

It was great getting to see you and visit during Dallas...I noticed your subject refers to the class of TSGA, Ill throw in the
vote for you and your fine
organization as well.. in addition to the "AAA" first class show by the members of the TSGA. Class all the way..and definatly first class.

Thanks for spending some time showing me your guitar...I was greatly impressed. Loved your set too as always.

I appreciate so very much the nice comments and compliments from each of you.

It was wonderful to see so many friends, and have the opportunity to make new ones.

It was both a privilege and a pleasure to play with my dear friends Johnny and Joan Cox. They are tremendous players and first class individuals.

Listening to Reece play would have been the highlight for me I hated to have to miss this show.It takes class people to have a class happening. The Texas show is first class all the way.
