I have a Goodrich L120 volume pedal, and used to have an L10k that I used to have, and absolutely LOVED. (long story short, when I bought the l120, the l10k was not in stock). I know I could shove a buffer in front of it, and I know I could whip up a small FET buffer/booster to put in the pedal, however, there was something about the Goodrich L10K that just did it for me, and I would like to do that. I know there is the obvious "sell the L120 and buy an L10k" however, we all know i'd lose money on the deal, and even with a trade, I could be trading a pedal with a pot with VERY LOW hours on it, for one with very FEW hours left on it. I'm not asking for the schematics, since I respect the intellectual property of the Goodrich company,
however, I am wondering if anyone out there knows if Goodrich offers a retrofit kit to bring the L120 to L10k specs etc? Again, I know no one has the schematics, which I respect, and I know the actual circuit is probably VERY simple, however it is just the right balance of tone and gain. |
