A good friend of mine called Sunday to tell me that Joe Keener had passed away.
Joe and Judy, AKA The Cascade Sweethearts, owned and played at the Lamplighter Lounge in Corvallis, Oregon, for many years in the '70's. They always had a great band that included Gene Breeden and Geno Keyes at one time.
Joe was living in Salem, Oregon, at the time of his passing. He was great guy, and all who knew him will be saddened by his passing.
