An original composition on the eight string Non
Pedal Leavitt came off the strings today.
Top two strings are G-Eb (a la Bill Hatcher).
I Play this traditional style. Kinda Blue. ...
but it ain't the Blues.
Only one slant, and an easy one at that.
My Leavitt Courses are available from my Site
noted below thanks to Ron Turner the ClicTab man.

HI ROY,
William hit it on the head. Your playing makes anyone envious of your playing ability.
It's about time for you to release a CD.

Hey Roy,
Your playing and your website have convinced me to set up a non-pedal steel with an extended Leavitt tuning. I'll have to order some your educational material as well. (If i can figure out how to read tab.) ; -]
(Of course, Bill Hatcher and Mike Ihde contributed some MAJOR influence, as well.)
Thanks much,

I would like to say outright what someone else hinted earlier. One of the big criticisms I and some others have had of Leavitt tuning is that it loses some of the steel guitar feel that you get in other tunings because of the need to move around to get chords and etc. There was no indication of that shortcoming here whatsoever. Amazing performance!! Seriously. _________________ Amor vincit omnia |

Thanks for sending this tune to me Roy. I was having trouble opening it.
You always play with such taste and musicality. It is always a pleasure to hear your selections here. A lot can be learned from them. |
