I had a very pleasant surprise this morning when I opened an envelope from Carl Dixon and found a check enclosed.

Carl and I made a transaction thru the SGF, and it was a done deal, one good for both of us. Unknown to me, Carl subsequently learned that the freight amount included in the transaction was greater than the actual charges, and he sent me the difference.

Doesn't get any more upright or honest than that! I would venture to guess he sleeps well.

Pat, I couldn't agree more. That's great to get this kind of old fashioned honesty. I've had many buys and sells on the Forum with nothing but good experiences.

You're not gonna find anybody more honest, or straight up, than Carl. Few folks are as smart, either. Carl answers to the Lord, as we ALL should!
May God continue to bless Carl, and to bless US with Carl!

You got it, Pat, Jim, and Steve,
Carl is prince of a man. His word is good as gold and that all emminates from his strong believe in The Lord Jesus and his
believe of walking in integrity with his fellow man. There are many of these people on the forum. What a blessing to be part of this group.

Doc Rickles
PS
He also has a great book out "The Evolution of the Pedal Steel" It is a great revelation of what the instrument is and has great tuning charts in it,
plus hundreds of pictures. He should have some at St Louis. He'll be in the Excel Room. Stop and pick one up.

I ordered a copy of Carl's new book and sent him a check. A few days later, he sent me the check back, said he was giving me the book without cost because he had been directed by the Lord to do so...

I asked him if I could mail the check back and have him donate it to the church or charity of his choice. He took me up on that offer.

I have always enjoyed Carl's thoughtful and knowledgeable posts on the Forum, and I enjoyed his book on the pedal steel guitar. In the book he gives all honor and glory to our Lord Jesus, along with lots of information and pictures on the history of the steel guitar. Carl is as honest as the day is long and a gentleman to do business with.
