On Opry Live, Vince Gill did a wonerful tribute to Don Helms featuring Tommy White playing an old non pedal Gibson, What a great tribute to a great musician.

I record the Opry every Sat. night and watch it during the week when I get a chance.It certainly was a nice tribute to Don Helms.Tommy sounded great on the Gibson.Vince really loves steel players and he's sure not afraid to let it be known.Later in the show he said he was the owner of the Gibson.Does anyone know if Vince plays steel?Great show.

Indeed that is true Ricky.
Vince is one of the worlds, greatest singer/musicians.
Also, his decision to seek out John Hughey only embellished Vince's gifts. For few steel players on earth could have filled that bill better; or did it more justice, than the late John Hughey. What an awsome combination.
