I'll be playing at The Mint on Pico in LA this Wednesday with Michael ONeill, a great entertainer and songwriter. This is gonna be a treat as we've assembled an all star LA band for the event. These are guys that can rock it out! Paul Marshall on bass from I See Hawks in LA, Rhys Clark on drums from Hoyt Axton/Freddy Fender/Rosie Flores/Billy Joel, Jim Shirey on keys/fiddle from Mary Kay Place/Papa John Creach/Leon Russell and Danny Ott on guitar from Chris Gaffneys Cold Hard Facts and Dave Alvin.

If you stop by do say hi. Our set is at 10.

Knock 'em out Steve, and remember, if you're still playing my licks, clean 'em up a little!

Wish I could be there, it'd be great to hear you play again. What guitar and amp are you using these days?.............JH in Va.

Always good to hear form you Jerry! I hope we can see one another some day while we can still recall who the other one is!!!

I'm playing a D10 Emmons Legrand III 8/7 and using a Revelation preamp, TC M350 effects, Stewart amps with Rick Johnson cabs loaded with Peavey 1501 Neo's.

I still wish I had that original Randall Steel Man I had back in the day....that amp worked so well for me for so many years.

My best to you my friend.

Stu! Will do with Rhys. You must mean DR. James Shirey....he went back to school and got his Phd and is a clinical pyschologist now primarily working with steel guitarists who have significant past life and sexual issues with their instruments. Do you need to book an appointment?

Actually I remember Jim hitting on my girlfriend, and then she tore him up[verbally] like a wildcat...I loved that about her.One time we played where Nixon lived and Jim Blew over my solo so I punched him hard in the chest onstage between songs,It made him all teary eyed...I get all teary eyed just thinking about it. Steve, glad you posted this, I'm going to try to make it!

I remember the great sound you got out of that Randall Steelman amp, hope you find another one, they kick butt and are so compact.

Oh by the way Steve, I have a Randall Steelman 500 amp and I love it but..........you can't have it! Remember the Randall Commander II that I had at the Stik? I bought that 15" EV speaker from you and installed it in the amp and about a month later it got stolen........That was a great amp. Once again, good luck on your gig........JH in Va.

Steve, great seeing and hearing you play at the Mint, you're a great player! Your band killed, but with Danny Ott, Jim Shirey, Paul Marshall and Rhys Clarke, that's a given.

Enjoyed jamming with you at yesterday's SCSGA Luau, too. Thanks for letting me try your rack and the Revelation preamp, now I gotta start saving pennies for new toys, dang you!

Leo, where were you? I was there early and late; sorry we missed connecting.
