This disc is all live musicians playing real instruments, and is structured as if the player is playing a set with a band that doesn't rush or drag, and wants to hear as much steel as possible.

These tracks are outstanding - I've
been using them a lot for practice
as well as teaching since getting
them from Steve a short while back.
Nice vocals, and the Rhythm Section
has a great 'feel', makes ya wanna 'dig
in', as if you were on the bandstand,
not to mention a well-chosen songlist.
Thanks, Steve, for taking on another set
of tracks for us with this project.

A bump for all three of Steve's CDs. In fact, the vocals are so strong that I play full cuts from time to time on my "Swingin' West" radio shows. _________________ Mike |

Steve, I'm getting a check out to you today for V3.
I strongly endorse these tracks by Steve, the song selection is great, you get vocals so you can figure out the melody, and the solo sections are nice and long so you can practice taking rides.
For all the jam sessions taking place around the country, if they'd base a lot of songs on any of these classic songs, I think a lot of players who'd ordered these songs could come in much better prepared, since they'd learn the melodies in advance.
In Los Angeles, we jam to BIAB, but if you don't know the song and how the melody goes, you're pretty well sunk.
Steve, I hope you can release all songs in V1 and V2 sans vocals as well, then jam sessions could just play the tracks, with or without vocals, and anyone who owns the tracks would be on the same page, same key, etc. _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION

Thanks for the endorsement, John. I'm looking into a no-vocal version of Vol. I; it depends on a couple of esoteric (to me, anyway ) computer issues. I'll find out about Vol. II, which was done at a different studio on different equipment. |

I have made arrangements to release a no vocals version of Vol. I. It will be $10 by itself and $5 if ordered with any other of my discs. It should be ready in a couple of weeks. |
