I just got off the phone with Dewitt Scott Jr. I ordered my 3 day pass. Dewitt said they expect between 4,000---5,000 people to attend this years convention. Whoa!
Does Scotty need to look for a larger convention hall????

It gets pretty busy down there, we often have the place packed to the seams. If you told me that Country and Steel Guitar was dead, I would say youve never been to a Scottys convention, The Faithful are there in Droves, The Music is wonderful and there is a passion in the air for this instrument, They Live, Eat and Breathe Steel Guitar in all its formats.
Its a cool show !!!

Is that more than in the past, or less?

Hello Earnest,

It seems like it must be more.???

The last time I attended(2002) I believe the head count was between 3,000--3,500.

You hardly ever have all that attend in the hall at one time. There is so much going on all over the lower level, the crowd is spread out. Watch out for that really special performer, though! Get in the main hall early for that.

Not if you know the secret handshake, and have a diamond horseshoe ring.

Hello Doug, er, I mean Earnest,

Earnest, Chalk it up to old age and bad memory, I'm sure "Scotty" could give you the correct head count for the 2002 convention.

BTW:Doug, I've been meaning to ask you a question
for quite some time. I went to high school with
a guy who shares your last name.(Livingston)
Some of his buddies gave him the nickname,
"DEADROCK". Whoa! Were you fortunate enough
to escape this undesireable nickname?
