Hey All,

I hope no one takes offense...or wastes their valuable time and energy "educating a newbie".

I am looking for a S 12 Uni....

Like everyone else I am pursuing a quality, used, affordable PSG. I am not interested in a new (or used) 'starter' PSG. I have no interest in paying twice for an instrument.

I must say that I fully agree with Ron Steenwijk's comments on PSG value. Market value and "It is a cool, used Steel" value are two different things.

I am returning to steel after many, many years away, but I have been involved in playing all of those years. I understand the economies-of-scale that apply to new pedal steels and I understand the "what the market will bear" philosophy.

If anyone has or knows about a S 12 Uni at a fair price please let me know. Or if the seller is willing to take installments I would be able to pay a bit more.

As I said up top...Please don't take offense or bother trying to "educate a Newbie".

Thanks so much!!

Johnne Lee Very Happy

What do you consider "affordable"?

Hey Brad,

Affordable????

Well, to me affordable correlates to value. So, an 'affordable' Emmons might have a different price than, say, a comparable BSG or Simmons. (No offense intended to Don or Bob.) But, I hope you see what I mean, Brad.

There are other variables, too, of course. I could 'afford' to pay more for a PSG that is local to me than a PSG that would require extensive travel to see, etc.

It is a complicated question with no easy answer.

I trust you (and others) understand.

Thanks again,

Johnne Lee
