Hi all,
This is a 6 string lapsteel I'm finishing up for Ron Dotson, a member here on the Forum.
-Gold Planet Waves
-Getting a TT6 with wooden veneer(still deciding on
PU veneer, knobs, and wood for the knob caps).
-Walnut back and neck(back is chambered)
-Figured Koa top.
-Tung oil finish.
-Bone nut.
-Koa headcap.
-Thumbnail Maple fingerboard.
-Abalone inlay dots
-Stainless bridge w/Cocobolo feet.
-Stainles string through ferrules
-Electrosocket output jack(very cool, from Stew Mac).
More when the TT is here and it's strung up!
Best,
Ryan

Hey Ryan,
When I win the Lottery I'll ask you to build me a nice (but simpler) 8 string-er!
Very nice work, Pardner!

That is a prime example of design & craftsmanship.
It's a beautiful guitar that anyone should be proud to own.--I sure would be! |

Ryan -
I'm a confirmed vintage lap steeler. This is the 1st new steel that has ever turned my head. That fingerboard is stunning. What is it?
I'm also intrigued by that stainless steel bridge on cocobolo feet. How does that design flavor the sound? |

Hey Ryan - just beautiful!
Reminds me of a lap steel version of the legendary Alembic Guitars here in Santa Rosa. _________________ Mark |

I want to thank Ryan for building me such a beautiful guitar. Once she is finally complete I will still have to wait upon her arrival in Hong Kong.
For those that do not know, I am a self supporting missionary in China. The guitar will be in the Lord's service making a joyful noise unto the Lord.
Once again, thank you Ryan for creating such a beautiful guitar!

Notes to self. Friday August 22, 2008.
Saw stunning lap by Ryan Rukavina on forum. Crap, did not see this coming - severe GAS exists in the Lap Steel world.
Things to do list:
-Check 401k balance
-Check wife 401k balance
-Google "blue book value honda crv"
-Resist urge to go to www.rukavinaguitars.com/gallery
-Repeat daily: "tone is in the player" - tone is in the player" - "tone is in the player" |

Ryan,
It looks outstanding and can hardly wait to have her in hand. Now if I only played as good as she looks . Once again, thanks for building it for me.
