Mike,
Good to see your post. It seems that I keep losing your telephone number and can never touch base with you when in Nashville.
Thanks for the letting us know about Vince.

Vince was also on the Imus In the Morning Show on NSNBC this morning, with his rhythm guitar, and sang a couple of numbers from his new CD. Don Imus really likes Country Music and was pretty nice to Vince especially since Vince told him if he wasn't, he'd whip his @ss. Imus got a kick out of that. Vince was on about 30 minutes and sounded like Vince.....Great!

We didn't hear Jay Dee and really didn't expect to. Seems Vince is getting away from much steel on his songs of late but it was great seeing Jay Dee with that P/P and he got some good camera shots. Better to see him silently than not have him there at all. At least Vince is still having a steel in the band and the best one at that.

VINCE FANS:
Look in "Buy and Sell" for a list of Vince Gill tracks on a new CD now available for you to play on. These are made specifically for steel instrumentals. Some great tracks recorded well with fine studio players.

I caught Vince and crew on NBC today show with Matt Lauer this morning (Thursday 2/13). They played two songs with plenty of close-ups of Jay Dee, Vince sure knows how to promote himself on National TV and really does alot for our instrument

Those guys really shined on that Letterman show. Big sound, and if I am not mistaken - standing in with that horn section was none other than John Heinrich on sax. John will be in Dallas this year with all his horns and will play those with Pee Wee Whitewing, and then treat of all treats, he will play his steel on part of my show. This is a super talent folks, nice guy too. Drop by my booth and introduce yourself.
Thanks.
