This month's "Vintage Guitar" magazine mentions that Ted retired (although I read Ted's announcement on the forum some time ago). I wish the magazine had done an article on the history of the Smith family musical products. Wouldn't that be really interesting?! I heard a Melobro being played at a guitar show last year and it (looked and) sounded awesome. And I notice Rattler lap steels and Melobars on eBay from time to time (usually in excellent condition). I predict they're all going to go up in value. All the best to Ted...
