Steel Guitar Nashville will be closed a few days due to Bobbe had an accident with a table saw around 1 PM Central. He was taken to Hendersonville Hospital Emergency Room where it was determined that he needed to be sent downtown to a better equipped hospital.
At this point, we know that he has lost a large amount of blood. Other than that, we are waiting for more information which we will post to A newsletter as we get it.

I just talked to Bobbe and he's hanging in there. The saw got the same old ring finger he had a problem with before. He thinks he might lose some of it but they're gonna' make the decision in the next hour. He's hooked up to the wall with blood IV and of course some other stuff. He's in a fair mood but of course he's worried about the finger. Lost a lot of blood but he's recovering rather quickly. Still joking me so I'm praying hard and loud he'll come out of it OK. I'll let you know as soon as I hear more.

I am very saddened about this.

I pray that Bobbe will make a speedy recovery. I was going to visit him in his store 2 weeks from today on my way to Chicago, before coming back to St. louis.

I want to see him even more now; to do whatever I can to bring him comfort in this time of pain.

We love you Bobbe. You have many friends. And the steel guitar world owes you a lot precious friend,

May Jesus bring you healing quickly,

carl

Power saws are evil. When I was a kid, the man who loved next door lost 2 fingers to one.

Bobbe, I hope you recover completely.

It's bad to lose a finger, or even part of a finger. I was afraid he had injured his hand or arm, which -- for a steel guitarist -- would have been devastating.

About 4 or 5 years ago I got a skill saw stuck in the cut while ripping a long board, and it kicked back on me, walking up the center of my left forefinger. I immediately went out of the carpenter business and will never pick up another power tool other than a saber saw or drill.

Bobbe, I suggest you consider the same decision: give up using power tools. Meanwhile, Laurie and I will pray for your recovery.

Roy

Dear Bobbe,

We are all praying for you here in Florida. We know that you'll always be an expert steel guitarist with or without that finger. We'll just pray for your recovery and be glad when you're back with us.
You'll be missed greatly until then.

Blessings,
Stephanie Custureri (Penny)

Bobbe I know how you feel I work with power tools every day last week I had a board kick back on my left first finger and still have the blood blister, the same finger was kicked back on and the end torn off the same finger still dead no feeling, laid the skin back down with a band aid and kept working. So we feel your pain and pray things work out for the best.

love you always
