I was recently given an old Gibson amp, model BR-1, s/n 2379. It has a microphone channel and two jacks for instruments, plus a tone control. Have not opened it up yet to see what's inside.

Are there any sources for info or schematic about this amp?

Thanx,
Jim

I've got one. Great-sounding amp! Louder from in back than from in front. Aluminum grill with teeny holes ain't eggs ackley acoustically transparent. I've had mine for about 35 years. I went to Gibson, they were in Chicago back then, and asked for a schematic. They laughed at me!

Quick response!! I got a schematic. But I still do not have a mfg. date. I'm guessing 40's?

Thank You Forum,
Jim
