I am open to offers over $2000. Also interested in a trade for a Sierra Crown 12. You might end up with a steal of a steel!
For Sale: Lamar U12, 8/5. Emmons AB setup.
I am the original owner. This guitar has not been out of my (smoke free) house since the day I received it�with the exception of one time to show it off to the local guys. The craftsmanship on this guitar is simply outstanding! Features are:
� Nitrocellulose lacquer finish
� Rosewood aprons and fret board
� Maple top
� Mother of pearl dots and fret markers
� Keyless 25� scale
� Triple raise, triple lower changer
� Seven slot (positions) bell cranks
� Volume control and coil tap switch on deck
� True-tone and Lamar pickups
� Extra rods, bell cranks, and knee lever
� Weight; guitar case 16 lbs. guitar 32 lbs.
I have the �LAMAR� decals, but have not mounted them because I did not want to cover the beautiful swirl wood grain pattern on the front apron. The new owner can place them. Additional pictures are available

| Lamar Colvin makes some great steels .....This is one of them .... This one has a longer scale , so you get no flub on the lower strings due to more string tension ....This is truely a LOW price for a steel of this caliber .....If I were not downsizing , this steel would be mine ....I loved the Lamar that I had .....Lamars a great guy to deal with too.....So is Tom for that matter ....Good guy ...Good steel ....Jim |

Tom,
You left some extra pull rods here at the house. Call me,,,,281-856-9453.
While I'm at it, let me say that the pictures do not do this guitar justice. Gang, it is an absolute beautiful guitar in every aspect. It looks like Tom just took delivery of it yesterday.
Whoever ends up with this guitar will have done themselves a hugh favor. If I was a 12 string player, it would not have left my house.

I had a chance to see and play this guitar at Bobby's. It has magnificent woodwork, great tone and playability.
The pedal and knee stops are the most positive of any guitar I have played in a while. An it's keyless so it stays in tune. |

| I've had the pleasure of seeing and playing this guitar and it is really a quality instrument. The rosewood fretboard gives it a distinct look of a fine instrument. Tom is a nice gentleman too. |

I am thoroughly baffled as to why this beauty hasn't sold. Just listen to Carlos Polidura play his Lamar U-12 on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AUIylX-zE0 These here Lamars sound great. I'm heading off to see if I can remember where I last put my wallet and then see if I remembered to buy a Florida Lottery ticket for Saturday and then see if I won. If I won, Tom, I'll take it.

| I know the Lamar is not a very well known brand in the steel guitar world. Lamar Clovin does not have a website to promote his finely crafted steels. None-the-less, his quality of construction and attention to detail surpasses many of the popular brands...as evidenced by these pictures. Those who are familar with his product know the quality I am refering to. My point being...don't be afraid of this guitar because it doesn't say (you know the brands!) One will be "hard-presesed" to purchase a like new, lacquer, custom built guitar, with all the included extras at this price. This is a STEAL of a STEEL! |

By Emmons setup I am refering to the A and B pedals.
Emmons A pedal raises B to C# and B pedal raises G# to A. The "Day" setup is just the opposite.
I have not seen "Buddy's" 12 string setup either, but I understand he experiments with one. |

How does the keyless tune? I don't see any threaded knurled adjusters .
Does it set up from underneath? |

It tunes from the changer end just like a keyed guitar.
On the (nut) left-end, an allen wrench fits into a slot just behind each string post. The little allen wrench is attached to the same tool you use for tuning the nylon nuts on the changer end. |
