I've heard a lot of good things about PedalMaster guitars,I'll probably never got to see one here in Alaska,I was wondering if some of you owners could post some photos, and tell me what you like about them.I've looked on their website and they sure make some beauties. Stu- Roy Thomas is a fine gentleman and builds a great guitar. They are often a bargain because they are not a "name brand" but IMHO they are right up there with a Fessy, Carter, or a Magnum. I'm playing one now and like it fine. Regards, Dave _________________ Dave O'Brien

When it comes to reputation and reliability, they can't possibly come much better than Roy Thomas. The man exudes personal integrity and honesty of the highest magnitude. Anyone who has ever dealt with Roy on a personal level will know exactly what I'm talking about here. Pedalmaster guitars have been around for a long time. Their reliability and mechanical integrity speak for themselves. IMO they have always been priced too low for what they actually are.

I have a Pedalmaster Keyless U12 7x6.
I have no issues with it at all. It stays in tune forever. Pedal action is quick solid and responsive. It's Black and red mica.
It looks like 1968 Mack truck. The tone is really nice. (at least when I play it) |

I love mine. Easy to work on. Uses many of the same parts as GFI, so getting parts should be no problem for years to come. Sounds great. Definitely underpriced for the quality.
Roy went the extra mile and sent me parts for my steel for FREE. And I bought the thing used from a third party.

Joseph, that's a great looking guitar. I like those white fret boards. _________________ Lee, from South Texas - Down On The Rio Grande

Pedal Master steels are very well built and sound great, too. Have seen them up close and personal with the builder, Mr. Roy Thomas.....a great guy and innovator.....but I want to ask Pete about the D-8. What tunings do you have and do you basically use them for cajun music as opposed to country? I noticed on one you have 4 floors and on the other 5 and not many KL's. If you want to e-mail your response thats fine.........if you post it, that's ok, too.......just curious about it.....HAL _________________ HAL...Excel D-10 w/ 8 & 5. I noticed that the Pedalmaster knee levers are mounted to the frame instead of the body,That makes sense to me. _________________ Steeltronics Z-pickup,Desert Rose S-10 4+5,Desert Rose Keyless S-10 3+5...
