Drove down to Bobbe's shop Saturday to take delivery of my new Rittenberry and I am absolutely delighted with it. It is an SD-10, 3 pedals and 4 knees. I chose black with the hammered look powder coating as I really did not want a lot of aluminum to polish and it came out beautifuly, I think.
If you want to see and hear it, check out www.youtube.com/bobbeseymour, and then select "YouTube-bobbeseymourschannel". Then select Rittenberry 1, 2, and 3.
I will get some pictures as soon as I can.
Another big fat plus, is the fact that the Rittenberrys come with the famous made Fred Justice case. Lightweight, but very srong! Thank you Mr. Justice.
My thanks also to Gary Rittenberry for making a fabulous guitar and to Bobbe Seymour for steering me to the Rittenberry. Gary and Bobbe are both great guys to deal with.

Looks great and sounds even better! 
I love the sound of those Rittenberry guitars.
Nice full low end with tons lots of highs and sustain. What else do you need?

Way to go my man! You will have a world of enjoyment ahead for you with this guitar. I speak from experience since I am now married to my second Rittenberry. The only reason I don't have both of them is that I cannot play two guitars at once. It's a love affair everytime I am with my Ritt. I am happy for you! |

Congrats on your nice guitar!
I now own Dennis's first Ritt and I play it everyday!
Its my first steel guitar, and I'm so glad I made the investment.
Did not know about the cases. My case is in great shape, ( Dennis took great care of this guitar)

One thing I've noticed about the Rittenberrys is that they are very consistent in tone. The one on Bobbe's youtube video sounds exactly like mine, and when I got mine it sounded almost exactly like the green one that Dennis Lee had that I had played on previously.

Thanks for all the positive replys too. Yes, Gary has told me that he has found a way to get the timbre of the Rittenberry each time so that one will sound almost identical to the next.
Hopefully, when I get back home, I will be able to get some pics of the guitar for you guys. Although I will have to get someone to post them for me as my computer skills are limited. Any volunteers??
It was many of the great reviews I read on the Forum about the Rittenberry and the videos that Bobbe had posted, that helped steer me in getting a Rittenberry. The guitar is a pleasure to play and the sustain is almost unreal. Each string is balanced and produces an equal tone in volume all the way across the neck. The bass strings and treble strings all blend wonderfully. There are certain times on the bass strings in particular, that have a push-pull sound. The guitar came with George L stainless strings and even then, have a really rich and warm sound to them. I have tried stainless before on other guitars and did not care for them. They seem to work on the Rittenberry. This will be my main axe for sometime to come and if and when Gary makes a laquer model, I will be putting my order in for on of those too. i hope Bobbe gets one in at his shop so that more players can get a chance to sit behind one. I played it in a FSK and a Peavey 112 and it sounded good through both amps.
And you are quite welcome Mr. Justice, your case is a work of art in itself.
The guitar is everything you guys said it would be, but the best part is...........IT'S ALL MINE!!!!

That's a great sounding guitar, as they all seem to be. I have an order in, and just got the call from Gary saying he'd be starting it. It's about a month (or so) away, and I can't wait. Seeing your post doesn't make it any easier. Congratulations on a great guitar. And, yes, Gary does indeed seem to be a really nice, honest guy who clearly builds a great steel.

Yeah, the waiting is sure tough, but when you get your hands on your new Ritt, all that will be forgotten and you will have trouble trying to wipe that big grin of your face!

Gary is the best to deal with.Everybody will tell you that.Helpful when it comes to specifics and copedents.
He is a man that makes time for you.I know that Gary is very busy right now which means that he does the right thing with the "Rittenberry" guitars.
Bobbe Seymour said it all in the you-tube clip when he gave the green one a test run.He said.....
"This is probably the best guitar I have ever heard".
The "Rittenberry" steel guitars are very hard to beat when it comes to tone.The acoustic in this instrument is second to none.
Take it from me(and I have played almost every brand out there)that the "Rittenberry" is the best "bang" for your buck right now.
You will not see them for sale on the forum unless someone needs the money.Everybody will keep theirs because they love the tone.What is there not to like about that tone?

I found out that the Rittenberry is really built in China. They actually sound like crap until they come to Garys shop. Gary has this vodo doll that he uses. He then does this dance around the steel holding this doll and then he lays hands on it. and for some reason after all this it sounds great. If you don't beleave me ask Bobbe Seymore he has actually seen him do it...

China wishes they could built such a solid instrument!!!
Gary might know a little bit of voodoo or magic or something...he sure can make a fine guitar...and he's been doing it for years now!!!

Well whatever voodoo Gary do do, he do do it so well!
I wonder if that little voodoo doll resembles Bobbe Seymour?

| I didnt realize the new Ritts came with Justice cases. that is cool! I play an older Rittenberry built nashville LTD and recently ordered and received a Justice case for it and just cannot say enough good things about either of em. fantastic craftsmanship. a match made in heaven. |

yup, Fred was awesome to deal with. I will tell anyone who will listen. havent had the pleasure of speaking with Mr. Rittenberry yet but he also has a reputation for being a great guy to do business with and a great guy in general. We are truly lucky to have these two gentlemen in our community providing such excellent craftsmanship and service. That is indeed a rare thing these days, and is much appreciated. I know we all pile on the accolades in these threads...but it really cannot be said too many times. Thank you guys! |

No, I don't think Gary has a website, he lets Bobbe do all the talking. Gary only wants to devote all his time to making these superb steels and leaves the marketing to Bobbe. So far, this is also a match made in heaven.
If you have any questions or concerns about the Rittenberry guitar or for that matter about Gary, just email Bobbe. He will give you the scoop, the whole scoop and nothing but the scoop. And that's the truth!
