If any of you guys are around West Palm Beach/Treasure Coast area and want to play some country rock and progressive bluegrass with a mediocre Telecaster picker, flatpicker, and Scruggs/melodic style banjo player.. that would be me. Feel free to shoot me a message. I'm in an acoustic old-time band right now but would love another project. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/thedesertroseband |

Sure wish I could be there Don But I'm afraid it's a bit of a trip from Waldoboro, Me.
Give my best to everyone and I'll see you in Nov. Hopefully, I can carry my own gear then

We'd love to have you with us also.
In the meantime enjoy that New England weather and ocean breezes.

Fred, I don't understand. You were here and left us.
If you were still here you would be enjoying the great 90 plus degree Florida summertime, not that cooler Maine weather. |

Just a quick note that Fred played some nice steel on the new Paul Main CD which is in the "Review" section of my "Swingin' West" web site.

Hi Mike, Thanks for the kind words. I called Paul and we're going to try to do a steel album before I head south again if we both can fit it into our busy schedules
You are a big plus for the steel community! Thanks.

I want to thank all the players who made their way to our jam last night.
Many thanks to our band for their splendid backup and hanging in their when we threw new songs at them.
As a tribute to the late great Don Helms we ended our jam by having everyone play a verse of "Cold Cold Heart" as Don did when he played.
Thanks Y'all.

Don't forget to let me know, by the end of the month if you want to play on the 6th Anniversary Jam on Sept 20th. We need the list so we have an idea of how many are going to be there and want to play.
And, another reminder that we will NOT have the regular 2nd Wednesday of the month jam in September, as the 6th Anniversary Jam on Saturday, Sept 20th will take it's place. (We will resume the regular 2nd Wednesday Jam in October).
Thanks again for the outstanding support over the last 6 years. |
