I listened to Glenn Beck once. I had to take a long hot shower afterwards to get the scum off of me.

Toby is as much country as Garth, Shania, Big & Rich, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts,,,,,oh, the list is too long.. They wouldn't know a good country song if it slapped them in the face.
I just plain don't like this "new country".

If Glen opened every show with someone slapping him in the face, then I'd be an avid viewer.

I know who Toby Keith is, but I don't recognize the other name. Is he an obnoxious, jingoistic, pandering war profiteer too ?

If Toby sounds country you've probably been listening to FM country too long.

If you don't like Glen Beck then ... Well, just never mind. Smile

I wonder if Toby Kieth is a decent person in private. His public persona and music project that special blend of stupidity and arrogance that usually only complete a-holes are capable of. I am hoping that he is just a cynical businessman that is carefully cultivating the apparently lucrative demographic of people that like crap music sung poorly by a real douche bag rather than the pretentious, ignorant tool he seems to be.

I always thought he just regular sucked like Kenny Chesney but that "Stays in Mexico" vid earned him a special place for me.

There is no accounting for some peoples tastes...especially someone who LOVES Michael Weiner (savages real name) who spews some of the most hate filled speech in modern media history.

But I do honor your right to be wrong.

Here are a couple of ignorant, racist Toby Keith comments from his Glen Beck appearance:

"...he [Obama] don't talk, act or carry himself as a black person."

"...the only reason he is in [the general election] is because he talks, acts and carries himself as a Caucasian."

Toby Keith

Nice, huh? Confused This proves once again that there is no correlation between musical ability and intelligence.

Surest way to make mortal enemies is to bring politics into the discussion. I thought this was a forum on primarily steel guitar related subjects.
