I picked up a Joe Nichols record the other day entitled "Man With A Memory"; I think it's his first one. It is scattered with steel players, and has one song with Jerry Douglas.
Tommy plays on a jazz tune called "You Can't Break The Fall." His C6th playing on this tune, especially the break, is just ridiculous. So far out there. It made my day.
I'll post an mp3 if someone will tell me how. The record is worth a listen, so go get a copy! |

Kyle, I was playing guitar on the road with Joe when that album was out. The steel man lost some hair trying to cover TW's licks on that one. Was a great solo! _________________ Scott Shipley Facebook |

Two of the steel players on Joe's first record "Man With A Memory" were John Hughey and Tommy White. If you're wonderin' who the steeler was in the "Brokenheartsville video, it was Jay Andrews playin' a 1960s Emmons. Terry Crisp was on that record too, I believe.

Jay was Joe's steel player on the road on that tour as well. _________________ Scott Shipley Facebook |
