I would like to wish the "Big E" the best birthday he has ever had, January 27, 2003. As my personal favorite steel player I believe we owe him so much respect for everything he has done for the instrument down through the years. It has been a while since I have seen him live so maybe he can come to the Texas show in March. Happy Birthday Buddy and I hope you are still around playing for years to come. Paul King |

Happy Birthday Buddy! It was good to see you at the St. Louis convention. I wish we would have had more time to talk. I hope to see you at more steel shows. Eveyone loves you and your great talent. Keep it coming! It seems that us steel players can't ever get enough Emmons..

Have a great birthday Buddy.
I promise to never 'almost' sit on your silver derby like I did some 20+ yrs. ago on the set of "Good 'Ol Nashville Music" too. We were taping with Gene Watson, man did he rib me for that. What a thing to be remembered by... sitting on my hero's hat!!! Boy that was close.
Sincerely,
Tiny Olson |
