They just don't write lyrics like that anymore, do they?
I saw him with the Grease Band on his first US tour, right around the same time...summer of '69.
They were awesome.
He sang the same lyrics, I'm quite sure... |

that brings back a lot of memories! back in 1971 I had my appartment broken into. Had a large collection of country records and one Joe Cocker. They cleaned me out but left the JC album. Actally I always liked his stuff. |

I was a little down in the dumps today but after seeing that clip I'm "Feelin' Alright" for sure. I laughed so hard my wife came in from the other room to check on me and then she got into it too.....
Really, I've been a hillbilly all of my life but for some unknown reason I love Joe Cocker and his music and have for forty years. He kinda looks like he's having a seizure on stage but he's got talent for sure..... I saw a show a couple of years ago on PBS and he still pretty much had "it" going, whatever "it" is or was with him....Thanks again for posting that......JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |

Sneaky Pete played on "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window" on his Joe Cocker! album. Great stuff... |
