John,Great job and super effort for the Shrine for showing the reason the shows go on with all those who devote their efforts which is the main intent for all the shows...As a friend of yours I know the dedication you have and the many things you do that go unnoticed..The NPF you established is a great forum which I'm priveleged to be a member of amazes me at how you can wing a website off it..You are truly amazing with the puter..A very truly dedicated brother.

John,
I think the web site looks great. Thank you for taking on such a project. I would have done it but I have no clue how!

I agree with you. Anything worth doing is always a work in progress.

Hope to see you soon my friend.

Bill Ferguson

This was something left undone with Buddy Walkers Passing, One of the Irons Left in the Fire, That I didn't Know How to complete and didn't have the resources either.

I found myself with some web Space that I wasn't using and wasn't ever going to use. So I finally got to keep my promise to a man I admired and respected Probably as much as anybody I ever met.

Buddy Walker.

Never say an ole phart can't learn. Very Happy

There is something else that needs to be said and That is about the Support "The Georgia Mule Gang" has given in the past to the Show. I can Call Them The Georgia Mule gang, Because I'm one of them, I was Born in La Fayette Ga in Walker County and That gives me The priviledge. Very Happy

These guys have traveled 4 times a year for Many, many Years at their own expense and no pay to make this Show a Sucess even after working a late night gig on Saturday and have to pull themselves out of bed EARLY Sunday morning and Drive around 150 miles or so to do this show.
They come alive when they are introduced, just like the true and tried troupers they are, each and every one of them. I salute each and every one of the Mule Gang for their dedication and effort.

Hey John, I love the Saluda Website! It's amazing that after those years I wondered when I'd be playin' onstage in Saluda, I'm finally playin' at the Southern Steel Guitar Convention. The Southern Steel Guitar Convention means a lot to me for a lot of reasons, and the main reason is because it was the first steel guitar show I'd been to in my life, even before I started playin' steel.

You've come a long way and we mustn't forget one of your strongest supporters, in addition to Bill Ferguson and Tommy Dodd, Buddy Walker.
Bet you are really Sounding Good On That New Guitar. A new Guitar always makes one work harder and Play even Better.

Just finished updating some more pages, The Great South Carolina Food Page for one. A lot of Folks Don't know how good the food is at Saluda, I always gained 5 lbs or more during a convention. The BBQ Sandwiches are the best anywhere. Bill Ferguson Claims The Hamburgers are the best and He might be right, So I always give each an equal sampling as well as the Hot Dogs which Stephen Gambrell Claims are the best. Have to be careful or I might get a war started here just over which is the best thing to eat at Saluda, Its All Great Food, anyway. Who would come to the Southern Steel Guitar Convention For the Food, Me Thats Who!

Give my best to Your Mom And Dad.
