Last night I was watching, "Chelsea Lately", and Charro (Xavier Cugat's widow) played a few licks on her Flamenco guitar. IMO, she still has the looks, figure and can play the heck out of that six-string (and can still move too). |

Yes,that lady is a GREAT player,it's a shame so many people only think of her as a silly, dizzy, blond, saw an interview with her one time[don't know if she still does]but she said she practised her guitar at least eight hours a day.DYKBC. _________________ Hard headed, opinionated old geezer. I thought this thread was going to be about the Elvis movie. (The only one in which he does not sing, except for the title song at the beginning and end.) _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

I had seen a little of her playing, with a couple of guys in Vegas, a while back. The program was about someone else, but they filmed her from a backstage angle and she was doing some monster playing. She has just done a new CD, and was on Chelsea's show selling it. She married Cugat (a famous bandleader, some may not remember him) at a very young age, but IMO, she is a crackerjack guitarist. |
