Looks like the builder tried to copy some of the features of a BMI, but it's definately not a BMI caliber guitar.

I had a BD Custom a few years back. It was a well built guitar, but I could never really find much information on who built it, or when.

I bought the BD custom from eBay. I couldn't get requested info from the seller either. If and when it gets here I will post better photos and info on the mechanical condition etc.

Bill, I don't believe you wasted your money as you asked in your post. I did not even attempt to get the guitar because the seller failed on two occasions to answer my questions. I will not deal with anyone who will not respond to questions about something they are selling.

Having said that, the guitar has a Lawrence 605, 705, or 805 pickup, MSA Classic type pickup pocket, the top of the changer resembles a BMI but a bit different underneath, and the majority of the undercarriage looks to be BMI parts with the exception of the pedal assembly top and bottom.

Provided the scale is correct and mechanisms were properly installed and spaced, you may have a good guitar. Keep us posted!

Thanks for the info David, Just talked to the man's wife on phone because I was a little nervous about no response from the seller too, They've been having a multitude on Puter Problems and hubby has been working doubles for some reason, hence the lack of e-mail. She said it was a beautiful guitar (guess she liked the baby blue" Anyway will keep all of you posted on it and will probably have more questions down the line. Thanks to everyone for the warm response to the Newbie here. Nice to be associated with folks like all ya'll.
