This is a 100 watt amp with a date inside of Jan 21, 1972. The cabinet and speakers are from a 1979 Twin Reverb that was a 135 watt amp!! Super speakers and can handle more than the 100 watts this amp will put out.
These speaker still worked but showed signs of edge weakening.
Here is what I have done:
-Speakers re-coned to original specs
-new Accutronics reverb tank and wires
-new JJ/Telsa 6L6GC power tubes and bias checked
-2 new preamp tubes, rest are RCA originals
-new bias filter caps
-several by electrolytic caps new
-replaced a lot of the blue coupling caps with Orange Drop caps-
-3 new knobs
-one new tube socket at reverb drive tube (#3 tube)
-new reverb drive transformer
-1 new pop-in caster, one was missing
-one new Fender amp cover
-all caps tested
-tubes tested
-3 pots replaced with new fender pots
-pots and jacks cleaned
-New speaker wire and Switchcraft connector
-Blackface era logo from my old stock!!!
-Bright switch on Vibrato channel
Shop time, over 5 hours!!!
$900.00 and shipping
Lower 48 sales only!!
PayPal OK.
We are leaving for vacation on 24th of July. Will not ship later than Monday the 21st. If unsold it will stay home until we get back in August.
Thanks!

Hi Kenny,
How you doing since your little electronic mishap, ole buddy?
I'll tell you what, if you hadn't done such a great job on my Vibrsonic , I would buy it from you in a heartbeat.
Folks, If there's anyone who can get the best sounding amplifier fixed up for you, It's Ken Fox and what a great person to boot and if he tells you he's done all these things to that amp, you can take his word on it for sure.

Gene, I am doing well! Just needed to "charge my batteries", I guess!!
This is a very nice amp. Been messing around with it in the ship today. Final touches.
I got the cab for about 4 hours of labor I put into a recent Twin Reverb for another Forum member.
I found the head on Ebay and went to work on it. I probably have about 9 hours and materials counting the labor I spent on the other amp,
Still, I can't resist a restoration! It is fun to put these old amps back in service again.
I do a bit of this when I can find some spare shop time. I must confess, not much of that since we opened the new shop building the first of the year.
We are headed to Portland August 24th and will be there for a month.
Wish you could be there Gene, it has been too many years..... |

Me too Ken, I would really like to see you for sure. I might be going down to Nashville this winter sometime, how far is your place from Nashville, Ken. I retire this month on the 31st and will be heading south in October and if Georgia isn't that far, I would really love to swing around and see you before we are both too old to care anymore, haha. Please let me know Ken and I will do my best to get over to see you.
Thanks
