I use a pedalboard, but because of space issues on stage need to go to a rack system.

I’m wondering what forumites use for rack, efx and tuner to go with Furman power. EDIT: My budget keeps this thing under $1K.

The SKB Roll-X Rack looks good, is it easily modified for line- and power-out?

Any clues on parts needed?

Thank you Forum!

Drew

I would get ahold of Fred Justice.
He can build you a stand up rack cabinet in any configuration your little ol' heart desires. Very Happy

Drew, I've found that a rack takes up a lot more space than you might expect. I have a Tubefex, power amp and tuner in a 4 space rack. Usually this is used with a pair of 15" speaker cabs, so this is not a compact setup. It has some weight to it, so most of the time I use a small pedal board, homemade, with EQ, overdrive, delay and chorus pedals. Everything fits into a small aluminum case. it just weights a few lbs. So maybe you just need to weed out a few items from your current board, and reduce the size of the board.

It seems like something like the Pod XT with a mounting bracket on your steel would be the most compact way to go.

Hey Bill!

How's the new Carter?

I'm all for simplicity, like you, and I have two pedalboards, one bigger and one smaller.

However, frequently I find myself with 5-8 people onstage, so I'd like make my footprint a little smaller and also get the controls up to where I can see them.

I'm narrowing my gear search down to maybe a Lexicon Lexicon MPX 100 or 200, some sort of a Korg rack tuner, and maybe stick it all in one of Fred Justice's racks with the AC and line-outs.

Buying the Lexicon and the tuner used will save some bucks.

cheers,
Drew

Drew you should also consider the Peterson Stroborack tuner, it is far superior to the Korg variants for a rack! (I have both) --- and a Revelation Preamp
