Suddenly, I don't know how or why, a bunch of my files that were MP3 or whatever else have suddenly turned up as TPL files. Anyone know why, and what I can do to put them back to original. Also, of course, what do I do to make sure it doesn't happen again?

I have looked at TPL on the internet, but have found no solution.

Ken;
All I can find for an association for .tpl file types is Access Workflow Designer.

If you rename one of these files to .mp3 does it still playback? Are they all in the same directory, or spread out across multiple locations?

What is your computer's OS and version/service pack?

If it is XP or Vista have you tried using System Restore to rollback to an earlier date?

Wiz. XP with all the trimmings, that is, I have automatic updates from windows.

It's only in one file. Strange.

I couldn't change the file extension. Windows said to click view and click on box to not hide file ext. I could find no such box.

Rather than go thru all the monkey business, I'm going to delete the file and drag out the tape and download it again.
Thanks for the help.

Cakewalk uses that extension, if that helps any.
