Besides the great GFI & Carter 12's, what other steel makers are making a 12 string uni??

There are probably others that I'm not thinking of but the ones who come to mind who do not make 12 strings are Rains, Franklin and Jackson. Otherwise it seems that everyone else offers one or will make you one.

---edit----of course now I'm thinking about it and the list will grow. Emmons doesn't offer a 12 anymore, do they?

I don't think Emmons has made a 12 since the Push/Pull 12 models, they probably didn't make too many of those.

Excel makes a great U-12.....

Lamar Colvin of Lamar Pedal Steels also make a really nice U-12 ...

I'm not sure if Kline is still making pedal steels , but that is a great little U-12 also ......

I have a new one (SD U-12) coming Tuesday from Bob Simmons, but he said he thinks it's his last one. I'd bet he could possibly be "persuaded" to build another, however. Wink When I saw the quality of his undercarriage, I jumped! If he doesn't build any more, it will be a great loss to the community and steel building industry.

Best regards,
...z

Bob even used ball bearings in strategic places! Notice the BFH, just in case. Wink

Can't wait...

JQ, to the best of my knowledge, Joe is no longer building. Wish he was though, cuz they don't get any better! Such an innovator too!

Ya know, I got some white cane tips from Coop. I think I'll put a set on this guitar.

John,
It looks great in White ....I recently aquired a Rosewood 8+5 ....There are not many Klines around ....Mine will remain with me ....It sure is an interesting steel to say the least ...Just when I think i have the mechanics figured out , something else stumps me with it ....The undercarriage sort of reminds me of me ....Rods going everywhere .... Sort of a controlled mess !!!.....That's me !!!!.....JIm

James, It's not White-White. It's sorta off-white with kinda a leather grain. Not smooth. Winston has a good page up on the Kline, with good pics and explanations.
