I want to take back a couple of 6 string guitars to China in August and am looking for a gig bag that will protect them as I carry them onboard. It can't be too long or bulky or the airlines people will demand I throw it in the cargo hold. Backpack straps on the bag would be a help.
A hardshell case which holds two guitars also might work if it is not more than 25 lbs. and can be locked. If you have any suggestions please note them. Thanks, steve t |

Steve, have you gone to the SKB website? They have all kinds of configurations. Martin. _________________ Several custom steels. NV-112 Boss DD-7 |

Assuming that they are small steels: a soft Bow or Shotgun case would probably work great for this task. What size are these guitars?
Just DO NOT travel with a cittern! You never want to tell the people in Customs you have a Bazouki in the case. _________________ Regards

Can you "un-bolt" the necks?
If so, they might fit in a suitcase between towels.
And the duty on "parts" might be cheaper. |

Steve, I have one I never use, I think it is has Peavey's name on it, probably made by Kaces or TKL. I'll dig it out of the closet later and let you know the size etc. I may as well sell it. _________________ Darvin Willhoite
MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |
