2003 Emmons LeGrande III 8&7.
This guitar is as clean as a brand new one. Fantastic tone, and it plays smooth as silk. It has staggered LKL's on E9 and a CKL on C6. This will make someone a great guitar. $4,000 + shipping.

Wow Tyler!!!
I didn't realize this guitar was a 2003, it looks like it was shipped from the factory yesterday. Then polished up by John Coop!!!
Guys, I've seen this one up close and it is Mint Mint Mint!!! Worth every penny and you don't have to wait months or years for it.
If things weren't so slow in Branson this year, this guitar would be mine. Then I would have to negotiate some lessons from Tyler in the deal so I could learn how to drive the thing LOL .
Tyler, I'm still coming to your show. I was all set to come last Friday, then found out Wade was out of town. I didn't make it today, my next morning off will be ... looks like Wednesday of next week.
Keep on pickin, see you soon.

I sold (gave) this guitar to Tyler. It is Mint with very few miles on it. Tyler added the extra knees. This is a beautiful Guitar, very well maintained with an excellent case. I really hate that Tyler is selling this guitar. Tyler was the first Horizion Winner in the ASGA (ALABAMA STEEL GUITAR ASSOCIATION) and I knew he was on a fast track to the professional ranks. That is the reason I sold (gave) him this guitar. This guitar plays itself. Tyler I hope you have second thoughts of selling this guitar.

I agree with you Bill.
In my opinion a pro player needs more than one instrument. I don't know what all guitars Tyler has but I know that this guitar would be a valuable tool for his career.
I know he's into his new Mullen G2, but if it were financially possible, I would certainly keep this one close at hand. There's no way you could ever replace it for that price.
But that's just my opinion. LOL.
God Bless,

I wish ya'll would quit!! Now you've got me wondering why I would sell this guitar. Bill, what going on? Michael T., your too kind! I could give you $4,000 in lessons and throw in the guitar!
You can't look at this guitar and tell it's ever been used. I'm not really looking for trades right now. Thanks for all the interest guys.

Tyler,
I don't understand why you'd part with it either. I'd much rather have the Emmons than the G-2 handsdown. . . . No Comparison!

Tyler,
I will tell you what goin on!!!!!!!!! You dreamed of owning a great Black Emmons Steel. It was your ultimate guitar in your mind. I loved that guitar, but, I knew you could take it places that I would never be able to take her. I thought the world of you as a young man and as a very talented player who had a dream. I sold (gave) you the guitar for you to meet your Dream. Now you want to sell her????????????????????. I would have never gave you the guitar if I knew that you would put a Crawford Cluster on it and then sell her!!!! Keep this Baby and don't even think about selling her!!!!!!!!!!!

It don't have the cluster. It just has 2 LKL's and a CKL. Nick, by me a new G2 and I'll trade with you. This is a great guitar, but I'm really into the G2 and would like to get another one. So this one has to go. So, someone is going to get a beautiful Emmons.

Half the fun is learning about who used to own these fine instruments prior. I think it is especially interesting to see the former owner post in the sale thread. It lends to the instruments history. Later on down the line, we can have a lineage so to speak of where these guitars came from and where they've been along the way. |

Tyler called to chat today and I told him I remember the day he bought this super sounding Emmons. If I was a rich guy I would have paid for it but the young man worked hard and came up with the money on his own. Then he saved up and bought all the additional knee levers from the Emmons factory and had then professionally installed. I think he might break even or even lose a few bucks on this fair price. Love this Emmons!
Tyler...keep up the super playing...you're already one of my young steel hero's! |
