She's coming to Portland, OR in July!! From looking at her web site, it appears that Mike Auldridge may be touring with her and playing dobro.

From what I've heard her new touring band does not include a steel player, and though Mike Auldridge has done quite a few gigs with her in the past few years I don't think he's on this current tour.

It sounds like it's basically Buddy Miller's band (minus Buddy who is on the Allison Krauss and Robert Plant tour) plus Ricky Simpkins on mandolin and Colin Linden on guitar (I think he doubles on other stuff too...).

Her new album is more "country" than she's done in a while and does have some steel, I think Greg Leisz may be playing on it (I could be wrong about that; I've heard it but don't have a copy with credits).

I believe she's using Ricky from the Carolina Star band, but I don't think John, Mike, or the other guys are coming along.

When Mike has played in the past couple years, it has usually been billed as Emmylou with John Starling and Carolina Star, except John had some health issues last Fall and didn't make the journey here to Northern California.

In addition to Greg on the new album, Steve Fishell is playing steel.

I'm really enjoying it so far, and it is produced by Emmy's long ago ex-husband Brian Ahern. I always thought from the great albums Emmylou made many years ago, she was best captured in the studio when Brian was at the helm. I really like the version of the Hag's "Kern River" on this new one, with some beautifully understated dobro playing by Mike A.

Hey, Pete. You're dead on correct about Emmy's touring band. I'm pretty sure it's Steve Fishell playing pedal steel on the record. Greg may be on there as well but I know I saw Steve's name on the credits.
