Thank God for Allen Jackson. He sure made that show a good show.I can not beleave some of those suppost to be singers. There was a lot that I feel was not Country. Some of it belonged on the Larwence Welks show or Ed Sullivan talent show.Brad Peasley did good and so did Brooks and Dunn. And the way these woman dress there is nothing country about showing off all you own if you know what i mean. It to me is a disgrace to country music. If people stop buying there junk music maybe they will change to country or leave. What happen to the long dresses they wore like Kitty Wells,Lorretta Lynn Tammy Wynette,Dotty West, Skeeter Davis just to name a few.GOD BLESS AMERICA and COUNTRY MUSIC. THE STEEL IS GETTING STRONGER> We have our own group and we are all sticking together. The Mid Atlantic Steel Guitar Association has a steel show Every month and I'm proud to be part of those shows.I think every steel Guitar Assoc. should have a show every month what do you say about it Ladies and Gents.

Eddie Gossien sure was shining with Daryl Worley and that brand new Fessy. Not only sounded great but looked sharp also with the Big Orange footballs and VOLS logo.Way to go Eddie.-- Kenny Ray |

I flipped over there every once in a while to see what was goig on but all I saw was some punker/rock group attempting to .....well, I ain't too sure.
I hope there were a couple of bright spots in it tho. |

I said the same thing to my wife last night as we watched the Awards. Thank goodness for Allen Jackson and Allison Krauss (sp) aint country. There were a good many on there that just were not country music to my ears. Allen winning all he won proves that REAL country is still alive and kicking. Also saw several closeup shots of the steelers for a change and its about time too. There were a couple of spots though where the steeler was ripping it good and they show a closeup of this guy grinning while playing rythym acousitc guitar. You would think the camera man would know where that beautiful music was coming from. All in all a pretty good show and a pretty good showing for steelers. Congrats to all you hard working musicians that were on stage playing. God Bless

The best camera work was the Ernest Tubb tv shows. when Charleton did the intro or took a ride, the camera man was right there. Same
if Steve or Leon was playing, ET knew enough to show off his great band! I never watch the awards of any kind but I just happened to flip thru the channels and caught some acts. Stars are like politicians, you never hear about the real talent, just the most flash. They need to make all those good country TV shows avail. I've got pcs. of some
(PoP goes the Country, etc.) if anyone knows where you can get this great stuff please let me know. Thanks Skip |

Hello Dolly
It took me a minete to think why she was doing the Hall of Fame segment but she was the best choice for Porter.
Otherwise God Bless Allen Jackson from someone who did live one of the experiences

I've been into AJ's music since I first heard him in 1989 or so. I'm glad to hear he was such a value-added to the CMA's. Lord knows they need it. I'm not watching them anymore until you folks alert me that they've put the Country back in CMA.
