All I have seen is the reviews of the blackjack as the one for the bucks .. how about the Shot Jackson model sd10 or sd12 .. Anyone playing one? if so what is your evaluation? |

Scott I have a Commemorative and it is just a great guitar. It plays smooth and sounds soooooooo good. I will not let this one go. I have another guitar on order from David as we speak. These guitars are just great in my opinion. Bottom line like every thing if you like it, it is the best. And I sure do like mine.

I've heard Charile's and it does sound great. Charlie was at one of our club jams shortly after he got it. |

I've played David Jackson's personal Shot Jackson Commemorative D-10 in a private jam at the Sacred Steel Convention a few months back and I still have dreams about the playability and warm but sharp tone. As soon as the economy gets a little better, I will be sure to order a S-12 S.J.C. from the wonderful people at Jackson steel guitars. |

Wow Del, what is the volume pedal unit you've got there? Is there an amp or something built into it?

Del,
It's been a while since I've seen one of those Morley leslie effect pedals. They are build like a tank. Mine used the rotating-disc/oil-can method that simulated the sound of a Leslie rotating speaker cabinet. The Lubow brothers (designers) jokingly referred to this new invention as a Morley (More-Lee as opposed to Less-Lee). I used mine with a standard 6 string guitar and it always turned a lot of heads.
Your guitar and setup are pretty cool too!

Wow! What a picker Del Ray is!! Terrific stuff- I dug up some Sacred Steel rhythm tracks and he then proceeded to light up my life . I truly enjoyed your visit, Del Ray, and hope you're not a stranger in the future- you've got a terrific family in town too! (thanks for the kind words, Stu- check's in the mail) |
