I am considering buying a new volume pedal and have read good reviews about the Hilton. I was looking at the goodrich photocell on Tom Bradshaw's web site and was wondering how this compares in quality as the cost is about the same.

The Hilton uses an "infrared" systen that is not affected by daylight or artifical lights. A photo cell type can be affected by daylight. As an electronics tech I would consider a photo cell system "old technology".

The Hilton is in production, Goodrich no longer makes an "electronic" volume pedal that competes with the Hilton.

Although Keith doesn't mention it, many of the "big name" Rock groups also use Hiltons.

Thanks, Jack. I was pretty much set on the Hilton after reading the reviews but just wanted to make sure. The check will be going to Keith today.
