That's it, that's all I wanted to say.
It's a gorgeous evening here in Cheshire, England, so cobblers to everyone.
Heh Heh Very Happy

out here, a yellow rod is the sign of a newbie.
I need to hit the rivers again soon...gas prices are a bit discouraging tho...and the lack of fish in the rivers. driving an hour to get skunked ona repeated basis kinda kills the joy. tight lines tho to you!

I'm trying to look dorky. That's my story and I'm sticking to it:

This was taken August 4th, 2007 about 3 hours before a road gig (hence, the burned out demeanour). I had gone for a "flick" after soundcheck to kill some time just outside this small rural town, and around dusk......bang! This beast came up after a size 8 Thunder and Lightning:

My buddy happened to live in the town we were playing, and he took this pic and BBQ'ed the salmon the next evening, as I was scheduled to play more shows and didn't wanna be carting around a salmon with my gear.

All the boys were getting showered in the hotel room for the gig and here I was with a dead 6-pound salmon dripping blood all over the bathroom. I played the gig with scales all over my arms. It was a memorable day. I am going after the "king of the gamefish" again in a few weeks, and can't wait.

Maybe this is the time to go back to the bar for a stiff one.

Hi Chris
We toured Ireland a few months back and me and the sound guy, on the way down to Limerick, spent a few happy hours on a superb river and landed a few fish.
We worked that evening smelling of fish.
After the show we do a meet and greet in the foyer of the theatre and the audience seemed to give me a bit of a wide berth.
I can't think why ???
A great day though.
Barry

Ken, it's hard to break old habits. When they couldn't catch me they decided to give me a job.

Paddy, the red deer population is good over here. On the estate where I work it is mostly roe deer.

Ben, yes they are Atlantic salmon.

Barry, That's not the catch, just a couple of sticklebacks for the cat.

Regarding the tie, when we have fishing guests at the castle we have to wear one ( part of the job )

on very rare occasions atlantic salmon are caught here on the pacific coast...not sure how the heck they get here but apparently the odd one or two get caught every year.
