Several months ago, I posted a WTB for a Marlen S-10. Well, I bought one from a really nice guy near Boston. It belonged to his Father, who had it custom built by Leonard Stadler in 1975. The Father took some lessons, then put it under a bed for over 30 years. I am really glad to have it.

Thanks to the capable hands of Jim Flynn (Lone Star Steels, Salado, Texas) and generous advice and counsel from Ricky Davis, the knee levers are reset to the Emmons set-up, adjusted, lubed and cleaned-up to like new condition. The tone and playability of this guitar are really cool. It is so smooth.

Here are some pictures of this little machine:

Thanks, Jim and Ricky!

That's one beauty you've got there.
I've got a 73 D10, and it's got "tone to the bone"
I'm surprised that they are not more in demand. I personally feel that they are better than others from the same era. Mine is always in tune, and doesn't break strings. Took a while to get it there, but once I got the "know how", wow.
good luck and enjoy

Hi, Lovely looking Marlen.... I have a 76 SD10 here in the UK. Same changer etc as yours, it has a Lucas E66 pickup. Sounds and plays great. I would post pictures, but I do not know how. I bought the guitar off of the forum a while ago. I am a very happy Marlen owner, I just wish I could play better !!!! Regards STUART.

Thanks for the kind words, It had been a long time since working on these fantastic guitars, and without
Rickys' support and encouragement it may not have turned out as well.
Thanks,
Jim
