Gatlin is one fine young man, with loads of talent. And the ladies like him, too. (damn)

I auditioned with them several months ago, and well, I am trying to raise a teenage boy for now.

If you like George Strait, you will be a happy steeler.

David, if that is west of Gainsville on hwy 82 I had the pleasure of playing there many times during the mid 70's. At that time I believe it was called the Cove Ballroom and was adjacent to a BBQ place. I'm just assuming it is the same place. Pretty good drive from Dallas.

Hey David,

I hope things worked out for you on the gig. I have played that club many times since the early 80's and it was always a good gig.

They have a good sized stage, lights and a great sound system and Rick will usually crank it up.

If I get any more leads I will send them your way.

David I think all the clubs you play should have the name "Texas" in it. At least 'till you get caught up Smile

Played that place plenty of times, for years..... It's a drive. As Dick said, Rick is a great sound man and likes steel. He's have you in the mix for sure.

Wonder if they still have "those contests" on fri nights? The town made them stop for a while.... haha

Hey Danny,

Well I'm sorry to say the Topless nights are a thing of the past. When they stopped that and the original DJ left, there was a big drop in business.

You probably remember the roped off section where the local police would stand eyeballing you as you walked in and then stop you down the street as you left the club.

I haven't played there in over a year but I hear business is slowly coming back.

Rick is one of the few good soundmen that likes and will put steel in the mix as you said.
