Eddie Stubbs asked me to post this on the forum. Ray Price will be in the WSM studio with Eddie Stubbs on his show Wednesday night October 9, 2002 from 8:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. to profile his latest CD. I enjoy hearing the interviews that Eddie does. It will be a great show. You can hear in over 650 WSM-AM or you can listen thru the computer at www.wsmonline.com

Joan: I dropped over to that link to listen to ES this evening and I got the same buffering drop outs we all got during the convention. I have a MS Windows ME 56k modem and I clicked on that selection in the opening list. But I heard 15 pieces of Kitty Wells and Red Foley with one of the original pedal steel recordings. Could have been Issacs or Shot or Jimmy; I couldn't make out enough to even tell that.

The folks in St Louis took it personal when some of us commented about not being able to hear our heros. Of course we knew it was free and they were doing their utmost to bring it to us. But it seems as if everyone forgot how much we love to hear this instrument and anything that interfers with that enjoyment is really hard to tolerate, let alone, accept.

It seems as if they forgot how much they enjoy it themselves when they read our comments about not hearing it enough. A steel fan has got to be a die hard lover or he wouldn't even try to listen to it as we were receiving it. Lord knows they did their best on such a large scale operation but they should understand how much we love the music. Most of those posts were not even complaints but mere comments probably looking for advice or clues on how to improve the reception.

So far I have yet to hear an sensible answers other than a couple put downs for being ungrateful and here I have the same problem again. Any clues; anyone ?? No I don't want to pay for cable or DSL...I pay enough for cable TV as it is.

Regards, Paul
