I just built an Win XP machine with AMD processor and loaded MS Office 2007 on it. I'm getting update notifications to download Office 2003 SP3. Why am I getting updates for Office 2003 SP3 download info when I am running Office 2007? Should I download the Office 2003 SP3 update?
And BTW, I downloaded the Win XP SP3 last week and spent 2 days trying to get my pc to load Net Framework 1.1 SP1. Finally after getting MS support from overseas and with an interpreter, we finally got it fixed with a Hotfix patch. |

Larry;
Evidently, Office 2007 contains components of Office 2003 that definitely need patching. Set a Restore Point, then download and install the Office service pack. Reboot, then run Windows Updates manually to see if this opens up additional patches. _________________ "Wiz" Feinberg, Moderator SGF Computers Forum
