I was reading a recent thread here that I do not wish to hijack but it got me thinking.I have gone to a 5 cord hook-up utilizing the Pre equipment patch for the volume pedal and the Post equipment loop for my effects on my Nashville 1000 Amp.A fresh set of strings and Awesome Killer Tone Going from the guitar to the Steel guitar Black Box then to the High gain input is a large part of it too!!
Finally I have that Awesome Killer Tone _________________ The Lone Prairie Steeler Pat |

I'm also getting my best sound in some time by using the (3)-Cord Hook-Up to my 1st N–112 and then coming out of that pre~amp. OUT of the Rear-Loop, into a Delay Unit and from there to the power~amp IN of the Rear–Loop of N–112 #2. _________________ <marquee> Go~Daddy~Go, (No), Go, It's your Break Time</marquee> L8R, jb

I wonder if all that cord link has something to do with it,,Your adding 8feet or more to the system,,I know with my music man amp and my 6 string guitars,, a coiled cord really fixes the tone by killing of some of the piercey highs due to the long chord length hidden in the coils.
A couple of questions,, I use a 112 sometimes,,should we be using the 3 chrod method for these as well?
Do we need to do that with non-pot optical pedals? _________________ GFI D10, Fender Steel King, Hilton Vpedal,BoBro, National D dobro, Marrs RGS |

I don't consider myself an expert on the subject, but; to the best of my knowledge, if you are using a Hilton or Goodrich Potless-Pedal, the (3)-Cord hook-up would be of little or no benefit, since your signal is already buffered within the pedal itself! JMHO! I didn't notice any difference when I tried it that way. _________________ <marquee> Go~Daddy~Go, (No), Go, It's your Break Time</marquee> L8R, jb
